Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has landed in Miami, United States, with his wife, Chioma Rowland, as final plans for their white wedding take shape.The couple touched down on Wednesday, August 8, 2025, aboard a private jet filled with floral decorations and a special seat tagged “MRS,” hinting strongly at the coming bridal celebration.
In a video Davido shared via his Instagram story, the couple appeared relaxed and joyful as they boarded the plane. He also posted a solo photo of himself, tagging the location as Miami. Also expected at the wedding is the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, who is Davido’s uncle. His media aide, Olawale Rasheed, confirmed on Tuesday that the governor had travelled to the US to attend the family event after opposition critics raised questions about his absence from the state.
Although Davido has not announced the official date for the white wedding, sources close to the family say the ceremony is likely to take place on Saturday. Davido and Chioma’s love story has been a rollercoaster ride in the public eye. The couple got engaged in 2019, but their relationship hit a rough patch in 2021 following rumours of infidelity.
In October 2022, they suffered the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi, who drowned at their Lagos home. In March 2023, Davido confirmed they had legally married, and the couple welcomed a set of twins in the US in October that same year. Their traditional wedding was held in Lagos in June 2024 and became one of the most talked-about events of the year. Recently, Davido stirred social media reactions after revealing that Chioma’s wedding ring was worth the price of “two or three Rolls-Royce motor cars.” With the couple now in Miami, fans and well-wishers are eagerly waiting for what is expected to be a glamorous ceremony fit for royalty.
