President Bola Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Vice President Kashim Shettima on the occasion of his 59th birthday.Born on 2 September 1966, the vice president was praised by President Tinubu for his courage, sense of duty, tenacity, determination, and belief in Nigeria’s greatness since their joint assumption of office in 2023.

Tinubu noted that Shettima’s prior service as governor of Borno State for eight years, followed by his tenure as senator for Borno Central, reflected his commitment to leadership as service rather than privilege, even in the face of daunting challenges.

The president described his deputy as a vibrant, loyal, and dependable partner whose support and fresh perspectives have strengthened the administration’s work and reassured Nigerians of their collective commitment.

“Our relationship transcends official duties. It is a bridge across regions and traditions, united in purpose and service. You remind us of what is possible when Nigeria comes first — an example worthy of emulation by those who aspire to lead,” Tinubu stated.

He also highlighted Shettima’s role in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda, pointing to efforts in securing global partnerships, driving food security initiatives, and pushing reforms that attract investment. According to him, these achievements mark the beginning of a long-term vision to deliver better schools, hospitals, jobs, and improved living standards for Nigerians. Concluding his message, President Tinubu wished Shettima many more years of vitality, wisdom, and impactful service to the nation.
