Nigerian pastor Jerry Eze has achieved a rare global milestone after his online prayer platform, New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), was ranked the third most-watched YouTube channel worldwide in 2025. The ranking, released by Stream Charts, an international analytics platform that tracks data across major streaming services, shows that the channel accumulated more than 102 million watch hours during the year. This performance placed the platform ahead of all non-gaming creators globally. Only Brazilian singer Frei Gilson, with 154 million watch hours, and Dominican content creator Luinny Corporan, with 137 million watch hours, ranked higher.
According to data from Stream Charts, the Nigerian pastor’s channel emerged as the most-watched non-gaming YouTube platform during the period under review. The achievement marks his third major international recognition in 2025. In September, PREMIUM TIMES reported that Eze retained his position as Nigeria’s highest-earning YouTuber for the second consecutive year. Earlier, in August 2024, the publication had reported that his YouTube activities earned him about N7.81 billion within a specific timeframe.
Reacting to the ranking in a Facebook post on Saturday, Eze, who is the lead pastor of Streams of Joy Ministries, expressed gratitude to God and his followers, noting that the success of NSPPD had gone beyond its original purpose.“This was definitely not our mission, but see what God has done. Third most-watched YouTube channel in the world, outside gaming,” he wrote.
Reflecting on the journey, the pastor said the impact of the platform showed a shift in influence from worldly spaces to spiritual ones. He also thanked the millions of followers who consistently participated in the online prayer sessions throughout the year. “I don’t even know what to say other than to thank Jesus. This flawed young man from the backside of the desert, you chose to reveal your might through. This wasn’t the mission, but Lord, I would be ungrateful not to say thank you,” he said.
He added that the achievement belonged to everyone around the world who joined the prayers daily, describing it as a shared victory. The NSPPD YouTube channel was launched on November 21, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, at a time when physical church gatherings were restricted. It was created to provide daily online prayer sessions for worshippers.
Since then, the platform has grown into a global ministry, attracting millions of viewers worldwide. It currently has over 3.06 million subscribers, with more than 3,000 uploaded videos generating hundreds of millions of views. Its daily livestreams often draw hundreds of thousands of participants, and the channel consistently ranks among Nigeria’s top-earning YouTube platforms, largely driven by Super Chat donations and strong live audience engagement.
