Big Brother Naija Level Up winner, Phyna, has marked the first anniversary of her sister’s death, alleging that the family has been denied justice over the fatal accident involving a Dangote Group truck.

The reality star said in a post shared on Monday that the truck driver who killed her sister was underage and had not been arrested a year after the accident.

She wrote, “One year today… her case was swept under the carpet.”

Phyna, while paying tribute to her late sister, said the past year had been difficult and that the pain of her loss remained fresh.

“It’s been exactly one year since I lost you, my sister, and honestly, I still don’t know how to put into words what your absence has done to me,” she wrote.

“One whole year without seeing you, hearing your voice, laughing with you, or simply knowing that you were somewhere in this world,” she added.

The reality star said despite the passage of 365 days, there were moments when the loss still felt as though it had happened recently.

“People say time heals, but sometimes I wonder if time really heals or if we just learn how to live with the pain,” she said.

Phyna recalled the memories she shared with her sister, saying she wished she could have one more conversation, hug or laugh with her.

She also expressed regret that her sister was not alive to witness events in her life and offer her advice.

“I miss you in ways I cannot explain. I miss the memories we shared, the little things that only sisters could understand, and the comfort of knowing you were here,” she wrote.

“Life has continued, but a part of me feels like it stopped the day you left,” she added.

Phyna first raised concerns over the incident in August 2025, when she called out businessman Aliko Dangote and Dangote Group following the accident involving her sister.

She had alleged that the company’s truck was involved in the accident.

She also criticised Dangote over his handling of the incident.

Following the allegations, Dangote Group issued a statement expressing its commitment to the wellbeing of Phyna’s sister.

The company said it was providing support to the victim, including comprehensive medical care and appropriate compensation.

Phyna’s sister later died on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

Marking the first anniversary of her death, Phyna said the experience had reminded her of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing loved ones.

“One year has passed, but your memory remains alive in my heart. I will carry you with me for the rest of my life, in every achievement, every tear, every smile, and every moment I wish you were here,” she wrote.

She concluded the tribute by expressing regret that she had been unable to secure justice for her sister.

“Sleep peacefully, my beautiful sister. You are deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten,” she wrote.

“Until we meet again… I love you always.

“I’m sorry I could not get you justice.”
