On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, a post by X user El-Saheed (@AbdulSaheed19) claimed that Nigerian singer-songwriter and record producer Augustine Miles Kelechi Okechukwu, widely known as Tekno, collapsed during his tour in South Africa. The post read: “Breaking News: Nigerian Artist Tekno Collapses in South Africa During His Tour. The cause is still unknown.” The tweet quickly gained traction, amassing over 8,000 views, 15 likes, and four reposts.
