Halima Abubakar Faces Defamation-Related Suspension. A two-year probe led the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) to suspend Halima Abubakar over defamatory statements and information spread about industry colleagues.

The AGN suspended Halima Abubakar after investigations revealed her role in spreading false information about colleagues.

On Friday, October 18, 2024, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) issued a statement on Instagram, revealing the outcome of a two-year covert investigation. The probe exposed Halima Abubakar as the mastermind behind leaking scandalous extramarital and infidelity stories about industry actors.

“Following the thorough investigative report by the special Secret Investigation Panel set up to conduct an internal underground secret investigation… the Panel found out that Miss Halima Abubakar was behind all the slandering information,” the statement read.
