Fans of Nollywood actress Annie Idibia are celebrating online following reports that Natasha Osawaru, the current partner of music legend 2Baba and granddaughter of Chief Igbinedion, has lost her position at the Edo State House of Assembly.
According to sources, Natasha was recently removed as the minority leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Assembly. Alongside her, Charity Aiguobarueghian, another top party figure, was also reportedly ousted from her leadership position. A new nominee is expected to replace Natasha in the Assembly.
The news comes amid the highly publicized separation between 2Baba (formerly 2face) and Annie Idibia. In January, the singer announced their split on social media, confirming that they were heading for divorce after years together.
Since the announcement, 2Baba has gone public with his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, confirming their romance and expressing his desire to marry her. He has also clarified that Natasha was not responsible for the breakdown of his marriage with Annie, claiming both he and Annie had come to a mutual understanding.
The singer further demonstrated his commitment by proposing to Natasha in a video that went viral. The couple also paid a visit to Natasha’s grandfather, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, as part of their pre-wedding activities. In a move that raised eyebrows, Natasha recently updated her Instagram bio to include 2Baba’s surname, now identifying herself as Natasha Idibia.
