Nigerian Music Sensations Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tems Earn Coveted Nominations at 2025 NAACP Awards. The 56th NAACP Awards ceremony, scheduled for February 22 at the Pasadena Civic Centre in California, promises to be an exciting celebration of talent. This year’s nominations include several Nigerian stars, such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tems, and Actress Ayo Edebiri.

Wizkid secured two prestigious nominations for his hit song ‘Piece of My Heart’ featuring Brent Faiyaz, in the categories of Outstanding Duo or Collaboration and Outstanding International Song.

Burna Boy and Usher’s collaborative effort ‘Coming Home’ earned them a nomination for Best Collaboration. Tems’ ‘Love Me JeJe’ garnered a nomination for Outstanding International Song, solidifying her rising status in the music industry. Actress Ayo Edebiri received an impressive five nominations, including Outstanding Voiceover and Outstanding Actress in Comedy Series.

Additionally, South African singer Tyla is nominated for Outstanding New Artist, recognizing her emerging talent.
