A devastating blast occurred at a gas filling station in Sabon Wuse, Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The explosion, which happened when a tanker was offloading gas, ravaged nearby shops and vehicles, including those packed with foodstuff.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the fire, which erupted around 11pm on Saturday, raged on for hours before firefighters arrived to combat the inferno. Abdul Sabon-Wusa, a local resident, recounted the terrifying experience, stating that the explosion sent shockwaves through surrounding communities, prompting people to flee their homes in search of safety.

The fire also spread to parts of a nearby petrol station, exacerbating the damage. Fortunately, no lives were lost, and no injuries were reported. However, the incident could have had disastrous consequences if it had occurred during the daytime when people were outside conducting their daily activities.
