Filmmaker Stellamaris Duru has expressed deep gratitude after winning two awards at the Nigerian Electronic Media Content Exhibition and Awards. She was honoured as Best Actor (Female) and Best Producer in the Broad Category TV/Web Drama Series for her debut production, We Happy People.

Reacting to the recognition, Duru said she was overwhelmed and thankful to God, her family, and mentors for their support. She described the awards as humbling, especially being her first production. She also praised her cast and crew, noting their hard work and dedication in bringing the project to life.

Acknowledging her senior colleagues in the industry, Duru said the recognition would inspire her to remain humble and keep working harder. She revealed that more projects are already underway, including the launch of StellamarisDuruTV on YouTube, which will showcase authentic Nollywood premium movies and series.

She further appreciated the veterans and young actors who featured in We Happy People, including Jide Kosoko, Chinyere Wilfred, Eric Obinna, Hydra Aneme, Tracy Dera, Otimiyin Luke Thorpe, Favour Nchezor, Zikky Aloy, and Silvia Ebere. Duru also noted that her company, Chuchin Ultimate Productions Ltd, remains open to collaborations with TV stations, media houses, private owners, and government institutions for future productions.
