Videos circulating across social media showed the newlyweds receiving their official marriage certificates to formalize the union. The civil ceremony comes shortly after the couple publicly announced August 1, 2026, as the date for their white wedding.
Their path to the altar included a proposal in Accra, Ghana, in June—following a brief separation over privacy concerns regarding their relationship—as well as a traditional bride price ceremony held on June 21, 2026, in Benin City, Edo State.
