Portable, the street singer, has vowed to turn over a new leaf, focusing on making money and leaving trouble behind. In a social media post, he expressed gratitude to his Maker and urged his fans to call on Him if they’re struggling financially.
This newfound resolve comes after a tumultuous week for the singer. Portable was declared wanted by the police for conspiracy, serious assault, and attempted murder, among other charges.
He turned himself in at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department and was transported to Ogun State Police headquarters. After being arraigned in court, he pleaded not guilty to the five-count charges.
Portable was granted a ₦20 million bail and was restrained from speaking about the case or related matters on social media. The magistrate court adjourned the case until March 5 for trial.

This development comes on the heels of Portable’s uncompleted building and hotel being sealed by the government over illegal development. The singer had made an emotional appeal to President Tinubu, begging him to intervene on his behalf.
Portable had claimed that he was being targeted by the Ogun State government for supporting a particular politician. He had gone into hiding, fearing for his safety and the well-being of his customers and workers.
The singer’s troubles began when his uncompleted building and hotel were sealed, and some of his customers and workers were detained. Portable had cried out for help, claiming that he was being unfairly targeted.
Despite his recent troubles, Portable seems determined to put his past behind him and focus on his music career. His fans will be watching to see how he navigates this new chapter in his life.
