US Central Command said American forces have “eliminated” 16 Iranian mine-laying ships following warnings from Donald Trump not to deploy mines in the Strait of Hormuz would be treated “in the same way we deal with the enemy.”
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the “people of Iran” on X, urging them to “remove the Ayatollah regime and gain your freedom.” As Iranians flee across the border into Turkey, some described the impact of the US-Israeli strikes.
