Victor Osimhen has returned to Nigeria from Istanbul and is expected to finalise his decision soon regarding a possible move to Al Hilal ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.According to Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen arrived in Nigeria on Saturday and plans to inform interested clubs of his decision shortly. Al Hilal have reportedly scheduled medical tests as they prepare to complete the deal, awaiting Osimhen’s final response by the following day.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray has stepped up efforts to sign the Nigerian striker after he declined the offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, according to PUNCH Sports Extra. Across Nigeria and beyond, football fans are actively debating who is the better player between Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and Georgia’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Both players, former teammates at Napoli, have since moved to different clubs but continue to impress at the highest levels in Europe.Osimhen currently plays for Turkish giants Galatasaray, while Kvaratskhelia represents French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The discussion has gained momentum on social media, with sports enthusiasts, analysts, and public figures sharing their opinions. Popular entertainer Freedom Atsepoyi, known as Mr Jollof, praised Kvaratskhelia’s vision, creativity, and flair, calling him a more well-rounded player than Osimhen.

On the other hand, Vincent Otse, also known as VDM and a close friend of Osimhen, strongly supports the Nigerian striker. He pointed to Osimhen’s consistent goal-scoring ability as evidence of his elite status among world forwards. Football analyst Monday Izegagbe highlighted that both players were crucial in Napoli’s Serie A title win in the 2022–2023 season. He noted that Osimhen has helped Galatasaray secure both the league and the Turkish Cup this season, while Kvaratskhelia led PSG to a treble, including the Champions League, Ligue 1, and the French Cup.

Izegagbe also praised Osimhen’s current form, with 36 goals in 39 appearances this season, describing his pace, power, and finishing as a nightmare for defenders. Another fan, Azuka Izu, commented that comparing the two is difficult since they have different roles on the pitch. He explained that Osimhen is a natural finisher, while Kvaratskhelia is more of a playmaker focused on assists and creating opportunities. Izu suggested that the better player should be judged by their overall contribution to their team’s success, noting that both are exceptional talents: “Osimhen scores goals, but Kvaratskhelia’s creativity is just as valuable.”
