The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the recovery of 32-year-old Odera Gregory Mbadiwe, who had earlier been reported missing, sparking widespread concern on social media. Big Brother Naija stars Ozee and Ocee Mbadiwe had raised alarm over their younger brother’s disappearance, sharing the news on Instagram and drawing attention from fans and well-wishers. On Thursday evening, the twins announced that Odera had been found and safely reunited with his family.
In a statement, DSP Babaseyi B. Oluseyi, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, explained that on September 1, 2025, Mbadiwe left his residence in Victoria Island in his father’s Nissan 350Z Convertible but did not return home. His family later reported him missing to the Victoria Island Police Division on September 3.
Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, ordered an immediate investigation. Acting on intelligence and with help from members of the public, police traced Mbadiwe to the Mile 2 area, where he was found alive though in a distressed state. He has since been reunited with his family and is receiving medical care. The vehicle was also recovered.
CP Jimoh praised the swift efforts of police operatives and the cooperation of citizens, stressing that public support was crucial in resolving the case. He assured Lagos residents of the Command’s commitment to safety and encouraged the public to promptly report such incidents for timely intervention. The police also urged vigilance and stronger community cooperation to enhance security across the state.
