A tragic incident occurred in Katsina State, Nigeria, where a military airstrike hit the Yauni community in Zakka ward, Safana Local Government Area, reportedly killing a family of six. This devastating event unfolded amidst a broader context of violence and insecurity in the region.
According to reports, the airstrike was preceded by a gun duel between security personnel and bandits, resulting in the loss of three lives: two police officers and an operative from the state-owned Community Watch Corps (CWC).
