The late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, will be laid to rest in Abuja this Friday. His brother, Moshood Lagbaja, shared the news during a condolence visit by the St. Charles Grammar School Osogbo Old Boys Association in Osogbo, Osun State.

Lt. Gen. Lagbaja passed away last week at the age of 56 after a brief illness. The military will handle his burial and has assured the family of a fitting farewell in Abuja, despite not releasing his remains to them.

The St. Charles Grammar School Osogbo Old Boys Association delegation, led by Engineer Adesina Salami, expressed profound sorrow and celebrated Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s contributions to the nation and the Charlean community. Salami described him as an exceptional individual, proud Charlean, and distinguished military leader who served with unwavering dedication.

Lt. Gen. Lagbaja had a remarkable career, serving as Chief of Army Staff from June 2023 until his passing. He was appointed by President Bola Tinubu and had previously served in various roles, including General Officer Commanding Headquarters 82 Division and Commander of Headquarters 9 Brigade.
