Nigeria’s Chidimma Adetshina has secured the first runner-up position at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, sparking celebration among her fans and supporters.In a remarkable outcome, Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina emerged as the first runner-up of Miss Universe 2024, surpassing other finalists in the competition.
The 23-year-old Nigerian representative competed against participants from countries like Mexico, Thailand, Venezuela, Argentina, and Canada, ultimately finishing second behind Miss Denmark. This achievement marks a significant milestone for Nigeria, given that Chidimma overcame stiff competition from countries with a history of success in the pageant.Prior to her victory in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant, Chidimma faced controversy surrounding her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant due to allegations of identity theft.
Despite these challenges, Chidimma persevered and went on to win the Miss Universe Nigeria title, competing against other contestants such as Miss Anambra Paula Ezendu and Miss Rivers Nyekachi Douglas. Following her first runner-up win, Chidimma expressed gratitude to the Silverbird Group on her Instagram page, acknowledging their role in making her dream a reality.
