Ibrahim Suleiman has taken to X, formerly Twitter, to initiate a conversation about s£xual assault within the Nigerian film industry. In a thought-provoking post, the actor pondered when a #MeToo movement specific to Nollywood would emerge, sparking a necessary discussion about the industry’s handling of s£xual harassment allegations.

However, many Nigerians responded with skepticism, expressing doubts that speaking out would lead to tangible consequences for perpetrators of s£xual harassment within the industry.

The #MeToo movement is a global awareness campaign aimed at combating s£xual abuse, harassment, and r@pe culture by amplifying the voices and experiences of survivors.Originating in the United States, the #MeToo movement led to numerous high-profile allegations against prominent figures in the American entertainment industry, prompting a broader cultural reckoning.
