Bandits have abducted Rev. Fr. Ibrahim Amos, a Catholic priest, from his residence at St. Gerald Quasi Parish in Kurmin Risga, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The abduction took place around 12:15 a.m. on Thursday.Rev. Fr. Jacob Shanet, Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, confirmed the incident in a press statement, describing it as heartbreaking. He urged the public to pray for the priest’s swift and safe return.

“We earnestly ask for prayers for his immediate and safe release,” Shanet said. He also appealed for calm, urging people not to resort to self-help, and assured that all lawful efforts will be made to secure the priest’s release in good health.
