Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, renowned as the Queen of the box office, has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from her fans and supporters. On her Instagram page, the filmmaker announced that her movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, had become the highest-grossing film in West Africa, surpassing her previous record with a staggering 1.6 billion earnings.

Deeply moved, Funke expressed her gratitude to her millions of fans and supporters, attributing her success to God’s guidance. This achievement solidifies her position as Africa’s box office queen. Previously, she made history as the first Nigerian filmmaker to gross over a billion at cinemas with her 2023 movie, A Tr!be Called Judah, earning over N1.4 billion.
