The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has unveiled a groundbreaking residency program tailored specifically for content creators, enabling them to reside and work in the country for up to 10 years.Dubbed the Golden Visa, this initiative aims to lure creative professionals, including writers, filmmakers, social media influencers, photographers, and digital storytellers.

As Dubai solidifies its position as a global hub for digital media and creative industries, this program seeks to provide content creators with long-term stability, allowing them to focus on their craft without the burden of frequent visa renewals.

A key benefit of the Golden Visa is that it eliminates the need for a national sponsor, affording content creators greater flexibility and autonomy in their work.

Who Can Apply

The Golden Visa program is now accepting applications from outstanding individuals who have made notable contributions to the digital and creative industries. Eligible candidates include: Writers and authors, Filmmakers and producer, Social media influencers and content creators, Photographers and visual artistsDigital storytellers and multimedia experts.

To be considered for the Golden Visa, applicants must demonstrate a strong track record of creating impactful content, receiving industry recognition, and showing potential to contribute to the UAE’s thriving digital economy. Applicants must also provide evidence of consistent audience engagement, career growth, and a strong online presence. Important eligibility criteria include cancelling any existing UAE residence visa and dependents’ visas before submitting an application.

Application Process

The process is managed by Creators HQ, the designated endorsing body for the Golden Visa. Interested content creators must follow these steps:

Submit an Application – Applicants need to visit the Creators HQ website and complete an online form.Receive a Nomination – If the application is successful, the candidate will receive an email confirming their eligibility.

Medical Examination & Documentation – The applicant must undergo a medical test and submit necessary documents, including a valid passport, Emirates ID (if applicable), and a passport-sized photograph.

Visa Printing – After fulfilling the required steps, the applicant must visit a Services 1 Center to finalise and print the Golden Visa.

Collection of Emirates ID – The final step involves collecting the Emirates ID from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security.
