The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed 115 personnel as part of ongoing internal reforms aimed at promoting professionalism and integrity within the agency. In a statement posted on its official X handle, @OfficialDSSNG, the Service explained that the dismissals occurred over a period of time and were part of broader efforts to clean up its workforce.

The DSS also cautioned members of the public against dealing with individuals who have been dismissed but still present themselves as serving operatives.“In addition to previous warnings about Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, the Service finds it necessary to alert citizens about the fraudulent activities of some dismissed personnel who continue to impersonate DSS operatives,” the statement read.

The agency urged the public to verify the identity of anyone claiming to be a DSS official before engaging in any official or security-related interaction. It further stated that the names of all dismissed officers have been published on the Service’s official website, [www.dss.gov.ng](http://www.dss.gov.ng), for transparency and reference purposes.

“For clarity, the identities of the dismissed personnel have been made available on the Service’s website,” the DSS added.Members of the public seeking additional information or wishing to report suspicious activity are advised to contact the DSS via phone at 09088373515 or email at [dsspr@dss.gov.ng](mailto:dsspr@dss.gov.ng). The Service reaffirmed its dedication to upholding discipline, professionalism, and accountability in line with its mandate to safeguard national security.
