Actor Shia LaBeouf was released from custody after being arrested early on Mardi Gras Day in New Orleans on two counts of simple battery, following allegations that he assaulted two men during a disturbance at a business on Royal Street, according to police and court records.
Court documents show that LaBeouf was taken into custody early Tuesday, February 17, after New Orleans police responded around 12:45 a.m. to the 1400 block of Royal Street. Authorities said he was identified as the individual causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive at the establishment.
